I love fall for so many reasons. Cooler weather, gorgeous leaves, and, of course, cookbook launch season. In the next couple of months, there are so many beautiful, interesting books launching that I'm so excited to dig into.

A cooking class in Lake Atitlán taught me more about Guatemala than any tour ever had. It also made me think back to small-town Tennessee, where "international food" meant Mexican or Chinese, and how far I've come since. That trip is why I started The Edible Itinerary, a cookbook club for anyone who believes the table is the way into a place.
